In the month of May this year, the social media giant firm Facebook had declared in its official statement that it was going to redesign the FB’s website and bring a dark mode to its website and mobile apps. Due to the demand for the same, Facebook had taken this decision. While Facebook has begun testing dark mode for its Android app in August this year, it has now initiated rolling out a beta version of dark mode website to some of its users.
A few hundred people are being invited to test the new dark interface. The screenshots shared by beta testers are beneficial to design Facebook’s dark mode that it showed off at Facebook’s developer conference F8 in May 2019. Interestingly. The new version of the website looks similar to Twitter.
Well, Facebook’s official statement says that this is just a beta (test) version, and hence the final release of the dark mode website along with the new interface may not look the same. Thankfully, if you don’t like the new dark look, then there’s a handy toggle provided by Facebook, which lets you switch to the good old classic version of the website. It is important to note that Facebook always comes with some exciting features that are intended to engage the users 24×7. Keeping in mind the mentality and psychological behavior of millennials, Facebook has initiated testing the beta version of dark mode website. Allegedly, many youngsters were demanding the dark mode for the site as it is suitable to use in the night time and night vision mode of mobile phones.
We’ll keep an eye on this dark mode of Facebook, and update you as soon as the new interface and dark mode is available for a wider audience. Till then, keep connected!
